Srinagar: US Realises Urgency of Kashmir Settlement: Mirwaiz, Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the United States has realised the urgency of resolving the Kashmir dispute.
“The US is eager to resolve the Kashmir issue once for all. It is again showing interest in Kashmir.” Without naming anyone, Mirwaiz said, the seriousness on the part of the US can be gauged from the fact that it has identified individuals to study the Kashmir issue with new global realities.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Obama administration has asked renowned security expert, Stephen Cohen to study the Kashmir dispute. Cohen has already presented a paper on Kashmir issue and the peace process to the Obama administration.
