Super Bowl 44 goes to Miami on the 7th of February 2010 as the Colts go head to head against the Saints. The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints went stride-for-stride, toe-to-toe, through most of the regular season as the first teams to simultaneously go 13-0 in one season.
And now, as the teams are finally set to complete the journey together in the Super Bowl that could have happened in 2007, and was inevitable in 2009.
Saints QB Drew Brees was selected as MVP of Super Bowl XLIV after leading his team to a 31-17 win over the Colts, and the first NFL title in club history.
Brees completed 32 of 39 passes for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns with no interceptions in the win.
Brees hit TE Jeremy Shockey on a two-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to give the Saints the lead.
The Saints trailed the Colts 10-0 in the first quarter and tied the Redskins (Super Bowl XXII) for the largest rally in Super Bowl history.
