World Cup 2010, South Africa vs Mexico latest updates :-World Cup 2010 : Grand Opening Game for South Africa vs Mexico – The much awaited 2010 Soccer World Cup will have its grand opening today as South Africa vs Mexico will be the first game match for this day.
Mexico hosted the world cup last 1986 and this country might sound like a small one and rival of USA in terms of political and other issues, everyone should watch out for their performance and output atWorld Cup 2010. And if there is anyone that might know what South Africa is going through it might be just Mexico.
At present, Mexico is currently rated the 15th on the FIFA rating while South Africa is on the 86th. South Africa did not gain their place by playing but got it by being the host. If we will remember, South Africa lost against Iceland that put them at doubt how far they will go in the game against Mexico that is much stronger team.
For the record, Mexico made it to round two in the following games: against USA in 1994, France in 1998, Japan in 2002 and Germany in 2006.
